AnCor Inc. is a national general contractor established in 1985. We are seeking a highly motivated Preconstruction Estimator to join our Syracuse, NY office.

Our expertise includes specialized projects in the fitness, restaurant, and retail sectors, with budgets ranging from $1 million to $15 million.

You Are:
An organized and detail-driven professional with five or more years of experience in the construction industry, whether in the field or the office, or three years of experience supported by an associate’s degree in a related field. You are confident in estimating, thrive in collaborative environments, and bring technical skill along with clear communication. You can manage multiple bids at once while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally experienced with Procore. You are ready to take ownership of your work, contribute meaningfully to a growing team, and grow into a Preconstruction Manager role.

The Opportunity:
This is a hands-on position that puts you at the center of the preconstruction process. You will lead estimating, manage bids, prepare proposals, conduct subcontractor buyouts, and collaborate across departments. You will be involved in shaping commercial projects across the country and gain valuable experience that supports your advancement to Preconstruction Manager. Your work will directly influence the quality, timing, and success of the build.

  • 5+ years of construction experience (office or field) including estimating, or an associate’s degree in a related field plus 3 years of construction experience including estimating
  • Strong math and communication skills
